Neighborhood meeting scheduled for Nov. 10
Jennifer Hoehn The Safety Committee announced a neighborhood meeting for certain New Concord residents at the Village Council meeting held on Oct. 13 in Village Hall. The neighborhood meeting will be held on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. for residents of Comin Street, Harper Avenue, High Street, Montgomery Boulevard and Thompson Avenue, according to Village Administrator John Huey. No specific issues are slated for discussion. Instead the meeting has been scheduled to allow for residents to address any concerns they may have. In addition, a second reading of an ordinance regarding new rules for garbage containers was passed by council members. The ordinance states that garbage containers are to be set outside no more than 24 hours before garbage collection and must be taken off the curbs no more than 24 hours after collection. Student Senate President Kylie Peters also introduced herself to the council during the meeting, and Mayor Greg Adams announced that Trick or Treat will be held on the traditional date of Oct. 31 from 6-7 p.m.
