Muskies fall against Transylvania
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, August 30, 2008 - The Muskingum men's soccer team fell 3-2 against host Transylvania University at the Glenn Hyundai College Showcase in Lexington, Kentucky. [boxscore]
Muskingum was led by junior Ross Barr who tallied both goals for the Fighting Muskies. Barr's first strike came in the 63rd minute and his second tally in the 82nd minute. Transylvania led 2-0 after goals in the 36th and 56th minutes. Barr's first goal trimmed the Muskie deficit to 2-1 before Transylvania added its third goal of the day in the 69th minute.
Junior keeper Chris Limle played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded six saves.
Muskingum (0-2) hits the pitch next when they play Carnegie Mellon University at Bethany College on Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m.
