Emeritus Professor Taylor Stults releases new book Fifty Major Documents of the 20th Century: 1950-2000
NOVEMBER 10, 2003 - Fifty Major Documents of the 20th Century: 1950-2000, by Emeritus Professor of History Dr. Taylor Stults, has just been released by Krieger Publishing Company as a part of The Anvil Series.
The book begins with A Western View of the Soviet Union in 1950 and ends with the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union in 2000.
The book's fifty documents run the gamut of historical gems. In it is the somewhat cold, calculated language of nuclear treaties, for example, but that clinical content is juxtaposed by documents like Boris Yeltsin's resignation speech in 1999, which covers an emotional spectrum from passionate to reassuring to sad.
