Muskingum College chapter of International English Honorary
receives award

APRIL 1, 2003 - The Muskingum College chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honorary received an honorable mention award for chapter service at the organization's annual conference held in Cincinnati on March 21-22.

The award was given to recognize the chapter's service to its members and the campus community. Its activities include sponsoring poetry readings, the annual "Halloween Masque," fund raising and co-sponsoring other events with other organizations on campus.

The conference was attended by Dr. Richard Williamson, associate professor of English at Muskingm, and the chapter's advisor; and Adam Brenneman '04 and Erinn Huntley '04. Brenneman and Huntley are president and vice president of the chapter, respectively.

Sigma Tau Delta is an international English language honorary dedicated to promoting interest in literature and the English language, fostering all aspects of the study of English, including creative and critical writing; and conferring distinction on students who reach high distinction in the discipline.
