When should I use Interlibrary Loan?
Use Interlibrary Loan when you cannot find a specific book or article in the following places:

1. Books – OhioLINK catalog
2. Articles – search for the title of the journal in:

Unlike books, articles available in print at OhioLINK libraries must be ordered through Interlibrary Loan.

Once you have verified that the item is not available in the above locations, click on the appropriate link in the upper right corner of this page to submit your request.

Does it cost me anything?
We do not charge you for items if we can obtain them for free. If the lending library charges a fee, we will pass that on to you. We will always confirm your willingness to pay for an item prior to requesting it from another institution unless you specified a maximum amount you are willing to pay to borrow the item.

If there is a fee, you pay it when you pick up the item. You will be charged the amount even if you do not pick up the item.

How long does it take?
Articles: On average, it takes 4-5 days for your article to arrive. However, it can take up to 2 weeks.
Books: On average, it takes 10-11 days for a book or audiovisual item to arrive, but it can take up to 3 weeks.

How do I know when my article or book comes?
You will be notified by email when your book comes in. We will also contact you by email if we have questions about your request or if there are problems filling your request.

I still have questions! Help!
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Arnold at (740) 826-8154.
