Archives and Special Collections
Mission
The mission of the Muskingum University Library Archives and Special Collections is to preserve the history of Muskingum University, affiliated organizations and the local community and to provide supervised access to the related materials.
About the Archives and Special Collections
The Archives and Special Collections are primarily concerned with the history of Muskingum University and include:
- Records documenting the history and development of Muskingum University
- Photographs of campus people, events and buildings
- Minutes, correspondence and reports of campus offices, programs, and committees
- Masters' theses and senior papers
- Faculty papers
- Memorabilia
- Yearbooks and University bulletins
- Black & Magenta (University newspaper)
- Books written by faculty or local authors or of local interest
- Materials requiring special care or safeguards
The Archives and Special Collections may be accessed during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday by appointment only. Please contact a librarian for more information.
