Newspaper wins award from Society of Professional Journalists

The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) has recognized the Muskingum College student newspaper, The Black & Magenta, with its Mark of Excellence Award as one of the top three non-daily student newspapers in a region that includes Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania.

The newspaper earned third place in the category of non-daily student newspapers published no more than once a week.  The Black and Magenta is advised by Assistant Professor of Journalism Vivian Wagner.
