Muskingum College students join new earth sciences honorary society
MAY 1, 2003 - Ten students have become members of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, an international honorary society for those studying earth sciences. The chapter at Muskingum is the Eta Iota chapter and is advised by Assistant Professor of Geology Dr. Stephen Van Horn.
The society's objectives are the scholastic, scientific and professional advancement of its members and the extension of relationships, friendships and assistance among colleges and universities which are devoted to the advancement of the earth sciences.
Charter members of Sigma Gamma Epsilon are: Brooke E. Handley '05, Stephanie A. Palmer '05, Scott A. Porter '05, Renee M. Shonk '04, Sarah A. Ready '04, Jennifer L. Creasy '04, Jason M. Miller '04, William E. Carlson '05, Stephanie L. Bear '04 and alumnus Joseph H. Laughery '02.
