ECC
Camp
The East Central Colleges Camp is a chance for new international
students from all the East
Central Colleges (9 in all) to spend a weekend together,
sharing their experiences, learning more about American
culture, and partaking in some really fun activities.
This year, the retreat will take place from September 29th
until October 1st. We will leave around 4pm on that Friday
afternoon. When we get to Pilgrim Hills, we will unpack,
eat some dinner, and start meeting all the other international
students. We will play some games through the evening and
then end with a bonfire and the American tradition of roasting
S'mores.

On Saturday, we will start the day with a unique simulation
and then launch into learning English slang and watching
skits about Americans. In the afternoon, students can choose
to either go canoeing, visiting the Amish, or staying at
the camp. Once we all return to the camp, we will have dinner,
a talent show, a night hike, and a dance party. Sunday morning
is just breakfast and departure. We are back on campus by
noon that Sunday.
The ECC Camp is only open to new students and it is up
to you to take advantage of the program. You cannot go after
your first year at Muskingum. The International Student
Services Office will pay for your expenses during the trip,
however, if you sign up and do not attend, you are responsible
for the $70 charge.
