Graduate Assistant in Athletic Training – Muskingum
Muskingum University is now accepting applications in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for a Graduate Assistant in Athletic Training. As the Graduate Assistant in Athletic Training, the successful candidate is responsible for assigned team coverage and all injury management including rehabilitation of assigned athletes. Additional duties include assisting with Athletic Training Room coverage, coordinating off-campus referrals and maintenance of all appropriate documentation. Staff members will also supervise the Athletic Training students assigned to them as an ATP Preceptor. Requirements include BA / BS Degree, NATA-BPC Certification and have a valid Ohio license in Athletic Training by August 1, 2016. Candidates should be able to display the ability to work independently, have strong clinical skills, show appropriate initiative, have a strong professional work ethic, and have the ability to work effectively with colleagues, medical personnel, coaches, and student-athletes.
Compensation includes housing, full graduate school tuition remission at Muskingum University, a full meal plan when the food service is open, and a stipend of $6,000.00. This is a ten month appointment. The employed Graduate Assistant will be issued a one-year contract renewable thru completion of the degree being pursued.

Assistant Football Coach – Muskingum
Muskingum University invites applications in the department of intercollegiate athletics for the full-time position of Assistant Football Coach. Muskingum University is a Division III member of the NCAA and a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. The successful candidate is responsible for the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, monitoring and nurturing the student-athlete's academic and personal progress, and assisting in all phases of the football program with emphasis on coaching the wide receivers.
The position reports directly to the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics and will include a secondary assignment dependent upon the successful candidates' credentials and expertise. Possible assignments would be game manager, teaching within the Health and Physical Education Department, overseeing a segment of work-study, etc.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred. Candidate should have a strong background/experience in intercollegiate football.
Candidate should possess a strong commitment to motivate, counsel, recruit, and retain students-athletes under the guidelines of the NCAA, the Ohio Athletic Conference and Muskingum University.
