MAT: Adolescent/Young Adult

The theme for all Muskingum University teacher education programs is "Developing teacher-leaders who encourage, equip and empower all students." MAT initial licensure programs are designed to prepare graduates to successfully demonstrate competence on PRAXIS III, the State of Ohio's entry-year teacher performance assessment.

Adolescent/Young Adult (42 credit hours) prepares individuals to teach grades 7-12. Licensure area options are mathematics, language arts, integrated social studies, chemistry, life science.
