MAE: Master of Arts in Education

The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) program is based on the belief that educators play an important role in encouraging, equipping, and empowering all students to become rational, competent, productive and responsible citizens capable of meeting the challenges of today's society.

Professional educators can best respond to all students' needs by expanding their own knowledge base and by gaining the skills needed to lead classrooms and schools in a climate that focuses on standards-based instruction, high-stakes accountability, and working in collaborative teams.

All Muskingum College courses are fully accredited through the Ohio Board of Regents and the North Central Association, and the education programs have been approved by the Ohio Department of Education and the National Association for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
