MAE: Educational Leadership
(Principal’s licensure, ages 3-14 or 8-21)

The Principal’s Licensure program (56 credit hours, course requirements here) is designed for individuals interested in educational leadership as a school principal. Students interested in this program must hold a valid Ohio professional teacher license, and have three years teaching experience, two of which must be at the level of desired certification. The State of Ohio requires a master’s degree for people holding Principal Licensure. Students who have already completed a master’s degree are only required to complete the Professional Education courses.

Principal’s Licensure at a distance!
The Principal’s Licensure program is now offered in a convenient distance-learning format that combines face-to-face classes meetings with electronic learning (e-learning). The new format will allow students to complete a 3-credit course required for the license in just four weeks by attending two Saturday, classroom-based meetings and participating electronically during intervening weeks. Students will be able to complete up to four courses per term and have the option of attending full or part-time.
