MAE: Early Childhood Special Needs (with Early Education of the Handicapped Validation)

Early Childhood Special Needs, with Early Education of the Handicapped Validation, (49-51 credit hours) is designed to offer the birth--pre-k special educator (ages birth-5) a solid foundation in child development exceptionalities, and a background to facilitate the use of developmentally appropriate practices in inclusive classrooms. To complete validation requirements, the individual must hold an Ohio teaching certificate/license in one of the following areas: Pre-k (birth-5), SLD (k-12), DH (k-12), SBH (k-12), or MHC (k-12)
