How to Disable BearShare File Sharing
Note: ANY boxes checked here will open up your
computer to full sharing access in the selected folders. Do not do
this. If no boxes are checked then nothing will be shared.
Select Options from the "Setup" menu
Older Versions have a Sharing tab.
Select everything under "Share files in these directories and their sub-directories:" and click on "Remove"
The shared directory listing should now be empty.
Once the "OK" button is clicked file sharing should be disabled.
To remove the copyrighted files after you have disabled the sharing
you must manually go into each folder you selected to download into.
The default being "C:\My Downloads".
Select each file and delete them. Next go to the recycle bin and
empty it. At this time you will have removed the copyrighted files from
your computer.
