Quad Area Computer Labs

Cambridge Hall, Room 248
The Cambridge Lab facility is maintained to serve the needs of students who frequent this building and want access to open access computers. The system configurations are similar to all other Quad and Residential lab systems. This is the place to go for a quiet computer session away from the crowds in other labs. Cambridge 248 is sometimes used as overflow when other labs are reserved.

Boyd Science Center, Room 204
The Computer Science Lab (room 204) consists of 30 computers of higher performance than the other locations. These machines are dual loaded with both the Microsoft Windows XP and Linux operating systems. These machines are used for projects, classes, and other designated special software uses such as Mathematica and programming languages.

The second floor Boyd Lab (room 239) consists of 25 computers with the same core configuration as the other general purpose open access computers. This is the main public lab used for classes and assignments.

The Phillip and Betsey Caldwell Graphics Laboratory (room 360) consists of 16 computers with larger LCD displays, graphic tablets, and specialized software for audio, video, and graphic arts instruction.
