The PLUS Program Philosophy

The PLUS Program’s learning strategy model is designed to empower rather than rescue students. Based on their past educational experiences, students may view this as a change and must realize that periods of adjustment accompany any change.

Student self-direction and control of their learning process are crucial components of the University experience and lead to success beyond the University.

The PLUS Program learning consultants will challenge students to develop skills, both academic and social, leading to self-direction, confidence and independence.
