Walters earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Award
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, February 25, 2008 - Muskingum College senior JD Walters has earned the
United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Award.
Walters, an Economics major, carries a 4.0 grade-point-average. He finished 49th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Meet and won the Wittenberg University Invitational to open the season.
To be eligible for a USTFCCCA All-Academic individual award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet. A total of 150 male student-atheltes received the honor.
