Minner named OAC Wrestler of the Week
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, February 18, 2008 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College 157-pound senior wrestler Dave Minner has been named OAC Wrestler of the Week.
Minner ended the regular season with a perfect 3-0 week on the mat. He started out with an outstanding defensive pin over Heidelberg College's Matt Curley at the 2:53 mark. The victory upped Minner's impressive record in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference to 5-1.
Minner continued his dominance with a pair of wins at the Case Western University Tri Meet. He garnered a 9-3 decision over R.I.T.'s Nathan Bachman and followed that with a 12-2 major decision over Case Western's Nathan Klingensmith. The pair of triumphs raised Minner'e overall record to 29-11.
