Halko named OAC Wrestler of the Week
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, February 16, 2010 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum junior Chip Halko has been named OAC Wrestler of the Week.
Halko posted a perfect 3-0 record last week. He earned an 8-2 decision over Wilmington's Chris Heiss to help the Muskies finish in a tie for fourth place in the OAC with a 28-21 win over the Quakers. At the Case Western Reserve University Tri Match, Halko pinned both of his opponents en route to leading the Muskies to a sweep of their competition. Halko pinned RIT's Joe Beaumont (2:13) and Case's Tim Sykes (4:25) to finish the week undefeated.
The Muskies are currently riding a season-best win streak of three entering the OAC Championships held on Saturday, February 20 at Mount Union College.
