Meet the Coaches
Jacob Gleason
Head Coach
Jacob Gleason enters his second year as head cross country and track and field coach at Muskingum University.
During Gleason's first year, he coached three Ohio Athletic Conference Individual Champions and four NCAA Division III National Qualifiers.
He arrived in New Concord after serving as assistant track & field coach at Ohio Northern University. During his three-year tenure at ONU, Gleason coached three NCAA Division III All-Americans, six NCAA Division III National Qualifiers, three Ohio Athletic Conference Individual Champions, 26 All-Ohio Athletic Conference performers, was a member of the 2006 Great Lakes Regional Coaching Staff of the Year and helped guide the 2008 Polar Bear men to the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Team Championship.
While at Ohio Northern, Gleason also served as an assistant director for the 2008 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship Meet, was a member of the OAC Coaches' Committee Standards and was the conference's Ranking Coordinator.
Prior to Ohio Northern, Gleason was associate head cross country coach and assistant track & field coach at Geneva College from 2002-2005. While with the Golden Tornadoes, he coached five NAIA Cross Country National Qualifiers, 13 NAIA Track & Field National Qualifiers, two American Mideast Conference Individual Champions and helped guide the 2003 women’s team to the Mideast Conference Championship.
Gleason, a former cross country and track standout in college, received his bachelor's degree from Westminster College in 2002 and his master's degree from Geneva College in 2004.
His other duties at Muskingum include serving as an instructor in Muskingum's Health and Physical Education department.
Jessi Larrison
Assistant Coach
Jessi Larrison enters her first year as assistant coach for the cross country and track & field programs at Muskingum University.
She arrives in New Concord after spending the last year as the assistant track coach at Coffeyville Community College. At Coffeyville, Larrison was responsible for coaching sprinters and hurdlers and was active in recruiting.
Larrison, a former track and cross country standout at Marietta College, was a two-time All-Ohio 800m champion, two-time Ohio Athletic Conference 800m champion, All-Ohio 1600m relay runner-up and OAC 1600m relay champion. She was named Marietta College Track & Field MVP three times and was named OAC Athlete of the Week once in her career. Furthermore, Larrison was named MVP of the cross country squad and was honored twice as Most Improved Cross Country Runner.
Larrison graduated from Marietta in 2009 with a B.A. in graphic design.
Dustin Eubanks
Assistant Coach
Dustin Eubanks enters his second year as an assistant coach for the track and field programs at Muskingum University.
Eubanks, an alumni of Muskingum, was a standout hurdler during his time at Muskingum. He was an All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection as a member of the Muskie indoor 4x400 meter relay squad. As a coach at Muskingum, Eubanks has produced one national qualifier, Deanna Dobos, in the 400 Hurdles.
Eubanks graduated with a B.A. in business in 2006 from Muskingum, and resides in Cambridge.
