Walters named OAC T&F Male Athlete of the Week
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 3, 2008 - Muskingum College senior JD Walters has been honored as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week following his record-breaking run at the Marietta Invitational.
Walters won the 3,000 meter run with a Muskingum school record time of 8:46.40. The old record of 8:55.00 was set in 1987 by Chris Skinner. This marks the second school record that Walters has set this season. He also set the one mile run record with a time of 4:19.88 at the All-Ohio Invitational.
