Addy wins pole vault at OAC Championships
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, February 25, 2012 - Muskingum University junior Chase Addy opened up the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday with a first place finish in the pole vault to lead the Muskingum men's track & field squad.

Addy, who was named All-OAC for his winning effort, registered a season-best clearance of 15-6.25 to capture first in the 22-person field. It marked the second straight year that Addy has won the pole vault.
Senior Tony Vaccaro also aided the Muskies on the opening day with a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a season-best toss of 51-6.25.
On Saturday, the Muskie 4x200 meter relay squad of junior Jeff Ickes and sophomores Greg Grove, Alvin Taylor and Aaron Perkins recorded a time of 1:31.77 to finish fourth. Grove also finished fourth in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:07.64. Perkins logged a time of 22.74 to place fourth in the 200-meter dash.
Addy continued scoring points for Muskingum with a seventh place finish in the high jump with a leap of 6-2.25. Junior Steve Stooksbury placed eighth in the shot put with a heave of 45-10.75.
Muskingum ended the championships in ninth place in the 10-team field.
Select Muskies will continue their season at the University of Mount Union Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 3.
