Blubaugh and Hoyt named OAC Softball Players of the Week
NEW CONCORD, April 25, 2005 -
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior All-American designated player Nicole Blubaugh and junior All-American pitcher Erica Hoyt have been named OAC Softball Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Blubaugh batted .625 (5-for-8) with five runs-batted-in, four runs scored and a home run. Blubaugh set a new career-high in RBI (44) and tied her career-high in home runs (9) and runs scored (37).
Hoyt didn't allow a run and scattered just two hits in 8.2 innings of work, while adding two victories to her season win total. She tied her season-high of 10 strikeouts in game one against Wilmington.
This marked the third time this season that Blubaugh and Hoyt of been honored as OAC Softball Players of the Week. |
