Softball ranked 23rd in NCAA Division III

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 19, 2008 - Muskingum College, who has not played a game in two weeks due to inclement weather, continued to be recognized nationally among NCAA Division III voters by being ranked 23rd in the latest NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll.

Muskingum opened the year ranked 18th in the preseason poll and climbed to 12th following their season-opening wins over Beloit College and Rochester Institute of Technology. The Muskies were then ranked 16th after their 6-4 record at the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Muskies, under the guidance of Head Coach Donna Newberry, the all-time winningest coach in Division III history and member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class of 2008, has had the Muskies ranked in the national top 25 poll every week since 1999.
