Softball ranked 16th in NCAA Division III

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 12, 2008 - After posting a successful 6-4 record at the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida, Muskingum College was ranked 16th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Division III Top-25 Poll. [NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll]

Muskingum opened the year ranked 18th in the preseason poll and climbed to 12th following their season-opening wins over Beloit College and Rochester Institute of Technology.

The Muskies, under the guidance of Head Coach Donna Newberry, the all-time winningest coach in Division III history and member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class of 2008, has had the Muskies ranked in the national top-25 poll every week since 1999.

Muskingum hits the field next on Tuesday, March 18, at Ohio Wesleyan University.
