Shaffer named OAC Men's Golfer of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 26, 2007 - Following his charge up the leader board during the second round of the Muskingum Spring Invitational Saturday, Muskingum College senior Matt Shaffer was recognized for his play by the Ohio Athletic Conference by being named OAC Men's Golfer of the Week.

Shaffer paced the Black & Magenta firing a 148 (78-70) to finish tied for ninth in the 72-golfer field. Shaffer ended the two-day event scoring a total of +3 on par four scoring, which was sixth best in the tournament. Furthermore, his second round 70 was the third lowest round score of the invitational.
