Sam Miller named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 27, 2007 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College senior linebacker Sam Miller has been named to the Academic All-OAC Football team.
Miller, a Business and Accounting major, carries a 3.70 grade-point-average. He ended his Muskie tenure with a career-high tying 70 tackles (38 solo/32 assist) this season. He logged 6.5 tackles for loss for 33 yards, registered three sacks and forced two fumbles, while starting all 10 games for the Fish.
This marks the second straight year that Miller has been honored for his excellence in the classroom and on the field (Academic All-OAC - 2006).
To qualify for Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have maintained a 3.25 GPA, be a sophomore academically and is in at least his second year of participation. He must also have been a starter or key reserve who has made a significant athletic impact.
