Murray and Rich named captains for 2008 season
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, May 9, 2008 - Muskingum College Football Head Coach Al Logan has announced that current juniors Jack Murray and Caleb Rich were named captains for the 2008 season.
Murray, who will serve as offensive captain for the second straight year, is a 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver, from Alexandria, Ohio. Murray logged 33 receptions for 355 yards and one touchdown in 2007. He averaged a team-best 22.1 yards per kickoff return and carried the ball 13 times for 66 yards
Rich, who will serve as defensive captain, is a 5-11, 195-pound defensive back from Croton, Ohio. He led the Muskies last season in tackles with 77 and logged four tackles for loss, three pass break-ups and two interceptions.
Muskingum opens the 2008 season at home in McConagha Stadium against Defiance College on Saturday, September 6, at 7:00 p.m.
