McKenzie and Metzger named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 11, 2008 -
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College junior post Jessica McKenzie has been named Academic All-OAC, while senior guard Renee Metzger was honored with Academic All-OAC Honorable Mention.
McKenzie, an intervention specialist major, carries a 3.65 grade-point-average. She averaged a double-double on the year with 16.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per outing. McKenzie led the OAC in rebounds per game and field goal shooting percentage (.638) and recorded 13 double-doubles on the season. Earlier this year, she was named First Team All-OAC.
Metzger, a mathematics major, carries a 3.70 grade-point-average. She saw action in all 25 games and registered 6.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. Metzger connected on 33 three-pointers and had a team-best .933 free throw shooting percentage.
