McKenzie named Academic All-OAC

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 17, 2009 - Muskingum College senior post Jessica McKenzie was honored Tuesday by the Ohio Athletic Conference by being named to the Academic All-OAC Women's Basketball team.

McKenzie, a special education major, carries a 3.78 grade-point-average. She is a three-time First Team All-OAC selection, two-time Academic All-OAC honoree, and current Co-OAC Player of the Year honor.

For the third straight year McKenzie led the OAC in field goal shooting percentage (.547) and for the second straight season she led the league in rebounds (11.2 rpg). McKenzie finished third in the conference in scoring (18.6 ppg). She ended the year with 15 double-doubles (points/rebounds) and ranked fifth all-time in scoring at Muskingum with 1,383 career points.
