Otto and Fran Walter Hall dedicated

Otto and Fran Walter Hall, located on our historic east campus was dedicated on April 15, 2011. It welcomes students and visitors to the campus and connects them with the main academic quadrangle beyond.

The 28,000 square-foot building more than doubles the Music Department’s previous space. The building features:

Two recital halls.
A composing and arranging laboratory.
Acoustically-designed classrooms.
Piano, percussion and ensemble studios.
Faculty and student studios and practice rooms.
A music library.
Spacious 21st-century instructional spaces for the World Language program and for the Center for Advancement of Learning.
