Orientation for Incoming First-Year Students

You've made your decision to attend Muskingum (good choice!), paid your tuition deposit, and accepted your financial aid award package. What's the next step to enroll as a first-year, full-time Muskingum University student for next fall? Muskie Preview!

Congratulations new Muskie! It's now time to take care of some important business, like meeting fellow new Muskies and MU staff, registering for fall semester classes, and learning about residence life and providing some information for housing purposes. You'll also receive your new Muskingum email address, have your ID photo taken, and more. Parents are encouraged to attend as well, for valuable information sessions with various representatives from offices around campus, like Academic Affairs, Computer and Network Services, the Wellness Center, the Business Office and Student Financial Services, among others. Lunch is provided.


Muskie Preview consists of six identical one-day sessions to choose from, allowing you the opportunity to choose a date which works best for your schedule. Check-in for each day will begin at 8:30am in our Recreation Center, with the program starting at 9:30 and concluding by 3:00pm. The program is free for incoming students, but there is a $20 registration fee per family (payable in advance or at the door). More details will be mailed to you soon, including registration and payment forms, and return envelopes. You can wait for these materials, or you can register on-line.
