Student Stories

Cody Wedge ('07) has been accepted into the 2006 class of the NEW Leadership Ohio program at Ohio State University. Cody is one of 30 women chosen to participate in the fully funded, four day program designed and sponsored by The John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy. During this summer, residential, women’s leadership program participants study leadership skills, explore issues of diversity, examine the issues women public leaders face and meet women already serving in prominent positions of public leadership.

Amanda Gleason ('04) did anthropological research on child rearing patterns in primitive societies while at Muskingum, combining her interests in a double major in Sociology and Child and Family Studies.

Nicky Gerome ('03) used a semester abroad in Argentina to collect data on women's social movements in that country. This experience as a student at Muskingum was powerful and formative, and she now readies herself for a trip to Alaska--after spending six months in New Zealand.
