Computer Science instructor candidates are invited to apply for a one-year Visiting Instructor position in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Muskingum University beginning Fall 2014. The successful candidate will teach courses at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. Courses would include Introductory Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and Computer Networks. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching and to student learning. Qualified applicants will have attained a minimum of a Masters degree in Computer Science or a directly-related field, such as information systems. Appointment to this position is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check through the university's background check agency.
Muskingum University, a comprehensive university with a strong liberal arts tradition, is located just seventy miles east of Columbus, Ohio, in the village of New Concord. Founded in 1837, the university has 100 full-time faculty and an enrollment of 1,600 traditional-age undergraduates. The total undergraduate, graduate, and adult-learner student population is approximately 2,800.
