Glass, Joe - Joe and his wife, Jo Ann are doing well.
Brandt, Richard (Dick) - Richard graduated in June of 1952 with a BS in Chemistry. Two days later, Dick married Phyllis Corne, a music major, class of 1953. They have lived in Ohio, Michigan, New Mexico, California, Idaho, Oklahoma, and Washington state. Dick has worked equal time with private industry and goverment nuclear positions. He was with the ACS's Career Consultant program from 1992 to 2994.
Dick and Phyllis both retired in 1991 from the Westinghouse Hanford Company at age 62. Dick had his 78th birthday last December, and both he and Phyllis are very active with volunteer programs and thoroughly enjoy retired life. They have three sons, but no grandchildren yet, except a long-haired Dachshund!
Gerlach, Rudy - Dr. "Rudy" Gerlach, professor emeritus of chemistry, recently received a national award from the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (ACHMM) for his life's work--teaching about environmental science. Read more in "Chemistry Department News"....
Schrock, Larry - With majors from Muskingum in Chemistry and Biology, Larry graduated from Ohio State University Med School in 1965. He interned at Loma Linda (Riverside, California), had a two-year U.S. Navy assignment to Viet Nam on the USS Renville, and a residency in family practice from 1968-1970. Larry has been in private practice since 1970 in Santa Paula, California. He has delivered about 2000 babies, worked emergency room for thirty years, and is now only doing an office practice. Larry would love to year from friends at Box 104, Santa Paula, California 93061.
Graham, Jeffrey - Jeffrey continues his career as the General Manager for Pace Analytical Services, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. Pace Analytical is the second largest environmental analytical laboratory company in the U.S. Jeffrey's daughters are attending college in North Carolina. Sarah is a sophomore at UNCG and Lisa is a freshman at UNCW.
Monroe, Mike - Mike has a chiropractic practice in West Jefferson, Ohio, and resides in Hilliard, Ohio. He is married to Kristy and has four children, Demetri, 8; Eleni, 7; Nik, 5; and Stavros, 3.
Snyder, Teri - Teri has received a promotion to New Product Development Manager, at CAS (Chemical Abstracts). CAS is a division of the American Chemical Society and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
Elizabeth, Corinne - Rodd and his wife Beth had their first daughter (and futue golf phenom), Corinne Elizabeth, on Septemter 8, 2005.
McHenry (Dorman), Gwen - Gwen and her husband, Eric, are enjoying watching their two girls (1- and 3-years old) grow up. Gwen's 3-year old veterinary practice, River City Pet Hospital, in Marietta, Ohio, is growing also. One of my staff members has a son that now attends Muskingum College.
Saul, Stephen - Stephen is working at Ashland, Inc.; however, he has moved from the R&D lab into sales. As a result, Stephen and his family have moved from Columbus, Ohio, to Sparta, Missouri.
Chema, Andrew - Andrew will finish his intern year in family medicine at Akron City Hospital by June 2008. He will also be rotating for a month at Kennedy Space Center in Florida in their Aeorspace Medicine Program (February of 2009).
Mickelson (Baker), Ashlee - Ashlee graduated from Muskingum with a degree in chemistry and molecular biology. After graduation, she went to West Virginia University Medical School and graduated in 2007. Currently, Ashlee, is a pediatric resident at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. She got married in 2006 to her husband, Joey, who was also a medical student at the time. His is currently a family medicine resident at the naval base in Jacksonville.
Ioconi, Ala - The Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research group at the OSU College of Pharmacy presented 13 papers at the 13th International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) annual meeting held from May 3-7, 2008 in Toronto. This is the third consecutive year the team, led by Dr. Rajesh Balkrishnan, Merrell Dow Professor of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research at the OSU College of Pharmacy, again presented 13 papers. Five papers from the 13 were poster award finalists. Ms. Ala Iaconi’s paper entitled ENHANCING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COMMUNITY STROKE RISK SCREENING: A RANDOMIZED CONTROL TRIAL was judged the best student poster this year at ISPOR.
Morgan, Amanda - Amanda is in medical school. Although her first year was hard, she felt "very well prepared." She is currently in Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Pediatrics, and Osteopathic Principles and Practice. She is also engaged to Bryn Williams. The couple will marry in the summer of 3008.
