Major in Political Science (30 hours)

Core Requirements (15 hours):

111 -- American Political System            

Two Courses from the following:                                                                                     

  • 121 -- Introduction to Public Administration and Policy
  • 131 -- Introduction to Comparative Politics
  • 251 -- International Relations


341 -- Theory and Methods in Political Science
491 -- Senior Seminar in Political Science

Distribution Requirements (6 hours):
One course each from two additional Topic areas:

310 to 319 (American politics)
320 to 329 (public policy/public administration)
330 to 339 (comparative politics/elections)
350 to 359 (international relations)

Electives (9 hours):

Any other departmental offerings not utilized above; may include one additional course at either the 100- or 200- level.


Minor in Political Science (15 hours)

Requirements (6 hours):
One course from the following:

  • 131 -- Introduction to Comparative Politics
  • 121 -- Introduction to Public Administration and Policy
  • 251 -- International Relations                                    
                                              

Electives (9 hours):
