Computer Science
The Muskingum University Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is
seeking candidates for a tenure-track position in Computer Science starting
August 2012. Muskingum University, a liberal arts university founded in 1837, is
located in east-central Ohio, just 70 miles from Columbus. The University
enrolls 1600 undergraduate students and the total undergraduate/adult/graduate
enrollment is 3,000.
Qualified candidates will have completed a doctorate in Computer Science or a
closely-related field. The person filling this position will teach courses at
the introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. Other
responsibilities include student advising and recruitment, scholarship, and
service oriented tasks. Expectations include a dedication to the continuous
improvement of undergraduate teaching, a commitment to on-going research and
professional growth, and a willingness to engage in innovative curriculum
development.
