Department Events

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Muskingum University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Computer Science, effective Fall of 2016.  

This position includes teaching courses at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. Other responsibilities include student advising and recruiting, plus scholarship, service, and leadership-oriented tasks. Expectations of candidates include a dedication to the continuous improvement of undergraduate teaching, plus experience teaching at the university-level, and a willingness to engage in innovative curriculum development and implementation. Qualified applicants will have attained a Doctoral degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.  Experience in business and industry is an advantage.  Appointment to this position is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check through the university's background check agency.

Muskingum University, a comprehensive university with a strong liberal arts tradition, is located just seventy miles east of Columbus, Ohio, in the village of New Concord.  Founded in 1837, the university has 100 full-time faculty and an enrollment of 1,600 traditional-age undergraduates. The total undergraduate, graduate, and adult-learner student population is approximately 2,800.
