About the Faculty
Ken Blood, MS is ATEP Program Director, Assistant Professor of Athletic Training, and Head Athletic Trainer. Ken teaches Introduction to Athletic Training, Health Issues and Programs, and Sports Medicine.
Nick Harding, MAE is Assistant Football Coach and Strength Coordinator and Lecturer in Health Science. He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Nick teaches Principles of Strength & Conditioning and Exercise Testing & Prescription.
Alicia Hurps, MAE is ATEP Clinical Education Coordinator, Instructor in Athletic Training and Health Science, and Athletic Trainer. She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association, and is licensed to practice athletic training in the State of Ohio. Alicia teaches Introduction to Athletic Training and Principles of Strength & Conditioning.
Larry Normansell, PhD is Harry and Mary Evelyn Laurent Distinguished Professor of Psychology. He serves as Chair of the Health Science Department and Coordinator of the Social Science Division. Larry teaches Introduction to Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Sensation & Perception, and Seminar in Health Science.
Steve Wootton, DC is Assistant Professor of Health Science and Health Education. He is a chiropractic sports physician with a clinical practice in the New Concord area. Steve teaches Introduction to Health Science, Human Structure & Function, Principles of Strength & Conditioning, and Exercise Testing & Prescription.
