Event Planning Coordinator

  • Coordinate events on campus such as Social Services Grad/Job Fair, Camp Day/Summer Job Fair, Health Services Grad/Job Fair, Criminal Justice Job Fair
  • Maintain database contacts with outside schools and corporations
  • Must be available for extra  hours on days of grad/job fairs
  • Update Director on projects/programs on a timely basis
  • Maintain regular office hours in Career Services (4 hours/week)
  • Assist students, answer phones and other office tasks as needed
  • Attend and contribute to regular Career Service Staff Meetings
Skills needed- strong communication skills (verbal and written), proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, organizational skills, ability to work independently

Advertising Coordinator

  • Create and publish open job positions, workshops, career fairs, etc. on social medial platforms
  • Write concise and professional posts for the Student Digest, OrgSync and other campus outlets
  • Design flyers, table tents and other print advertising pieces as needed
  • Implement new ideas for outreach initiatives
  • Create a marketing campaign for a week of Career Services’ programming
  • Update Director on projects/programs on a timely basis
  • Maintain regular office hours in Career Services (4 hours/week)
  • Assist students, answer phones and other office tasks as needed
  • Attend and contribute to regular Career Service Staff Meetings

Skills needed- creativeness in designing advertisement pieces, strong writing and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Publisher, ability to work independently

General Office Assistant

  • Maintain Resource Room and all displays
  • Update and maintain all contacts/files/operations for daily functioning of office
  • Work independently on projects as determined by the Director
  • Update the Director on projects/programs on a timely basis
  • Maintain regular office hours in Career Services (4 hours/week)
  • Assist students, answer phones and other office tasks as needed
  • Attend and contribute to regular Career Service Staff Meetings
Skills needed- strong communication skills (verbal and written), proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, organizational skills, ability to work independently

Career Services Presenter

  • Contact graduates from previous year, update individual files
  • Learn general office operations, procedures, programs and services
  • Present evening workshops on selected Career Service topics
  • Work independently on projects as determined by the Director
  • Update the Director on projects/programs on a timely basis
  • NO regular office hours are required for this position, work is done on a flexible schedule and paid according to the hours worked.  This position is predominantly an evening position.

Skills needed- strong communication skills (verbal and written), presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, organizational skills, ability to work independently.
