Welcome to Muskingum Intramurals!

Intramural sports require good sportsmandship-defined as an aspiration or ethos that a sport or activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors. This concept is one that is paramount to the success and continuation of Muskingum's Intramural programs.

The mission of the Muskingum University Intramural Sports Program is to provide exercise, promote a positive use of leisure time, enrich social skills, and develop school spirit. Competition is organized according to interest on campus in a variety of activities, as well as availability of facilities and equipment.

All sports and activies for the 2013-2014 academic year are listed on this page (see below) and are subject to change based on participation and group conduct. If there is a sport or activity not listed that students would be interested in participating in, then please contact the Intramural Staff with those ideas.

  • Timelines for seasons and rosters will be disseminated through the daily Student Digest email, OrgSync, and/or on-campus posters.
  • Rosters/Entry Forms can be picked up and submitted at the Chess Center, in the drop boxes located outside the office on the 2nd floor.
  • There will be a call for officials/referees for specific sports. Knowledge of the sport is preferred and all interested will be asked to complete a test to prove their competency. Officiating is a paid position and failure to appear or any reported misconduct will result in termination.
