McKenzie and Buckohr garner volleyball All-OAC honors
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 11, 2008 -
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College senior middle hitter Jessica McKenzie has been named First Team All-OAC for volleyball, while senior outside hitter Allie Buckohr was named Honorable Mention.
McKenzie leads the Ohio Athletic Conference in blocks with 171, which also ranks fifth all-time for blocks in a single season at Muskingum. Her .370 hitting percentage ranks third in the league and McKenzie's 293 kills ranks eighth in the OAC in kills per set (2.71). This marks the second straight year that McKenzie has been named All-OAC.
Buckohr has tallied 237 kills and a career-best 60 blocks. She has recorded 429 digs, which ranks ninth in the conference in digs per set (3.97) and has registered 16 service aces.
This season, the senior duo of McKenzie and Buckohr have helped lead Muskingum (23-6) to a third place finish in the OAC, an appearance in the OAC Tournament Final Four and a berth in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships.
