Babcock, Gasser, Gromes and Guinsler named Academic All-OAC
New Concord, Ohio, November 15, 2005 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior middle hitter Hannah Babcock, senior outside hitter Heidi Gasser, junior setter Jessica Gromes have been named to the Academic All-OAC volleyball team, while junior libero Elizabeth Guinsler was named to the Academic All-OAC Honorable Mention squad.
Babcock carries a 3.48 grade-point-average in accounting and business. On the year, Babcock led the Muskies with 180 blocks and also recorded 238 kills. She ends her Muskingum career with 731 kills and 507 blocks, which is tied for third all-time. Babcock also holds the school record for most blocks in a season with 197 (2004).
Gasser carries a 3.45 grade-point-average in accounting and business. Gasser was second on the team with 376 digs and 263 kills. She ends her career with 745 kills and 1,084 digs.
Gromes carries a 3.50 grade-point-average in biology and psychology. Gromes led the Muskies in assists with 1,112 (11.35 apg), which marked her third straight season that she has paced Muskingum in assists (1,538 in 2003, 1,224 in 2004). She ranks second all-time in school history with 3,874 career assists, just 416 shy of the record held by Kristen Vejsicky (4,290). Gromes was previously named to the All-OAC Second Team.
Guinsler carries a 3.80 grade-point-average in business and speech communication. She paced the team with 501 digs and 29 service aces.
