Johnson, Chema, Ferrin collect academic awards
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, July 22, 2011 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum University sophomore Libby Johnson has been named Academic All-OAC Honorable Mention. Senior Amanda Chema and freshman Ally Ferrin were both honored as Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes.
Johnson, a special education major, carries a 3.51 grade-point-average. She played in 10 matches for the Muskies and a carried a 2-2 mark in doubles action and secured two wins in singles play.
Chema, an early childhood education major, carries a 3.833 grade-point-average. She played in 12 matches and finished the year with a 4-4 mark in doubles. She also added one win in singles.
Ferrin, a special education and early childhood education major, carries a 3.534 grade-point-average. She played in 12 matches for the Muskies and notched three wins in singles play and four wins in doubles.
