Grafton and McInturff honored with team Most Valuable Player Awards
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 19, 2007 - Muskingum College Head Football Coach AL Logan has announced that sophomore wide receiver Josh Grafton and senior defensive lineman Josh McInturff were named offensive and defensive Most Valuable Players, respectively for 2007.
Grafton led the team in receptions (34), receiving yards (646), average receiving yards per game (64.6) and average yards per catch (19.0). He hauled in four touchdown receptions and saw action in all 10 games. His 646 yards receiving ranks fourth all-time at Muskingum for a single season. Grafton logged a career-high 128 yards receiving against Marietta College and tied his career-high with six receptions at Heidelberg College.
McInturff tallied 29 tackles on the year with seven tackles for loss (31 yards), three sacks (23 yards), recovered two fumbles and forced one fumble. The 5-foot-11, 245-pound captain, started all 10 games for the Muskies and ended his tenure for the Black & Magenta with a season-high five stops at Heidelberg. McInturff was also recognized for his play with All-Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention status.
