Whiteman named OAC Hitter of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 16, 2009 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College junior All-American catcher Brock Whiteman has been named the OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Whiteman, the reigning OAC Player of the Year, has helped lead the Muskies to an 8-4 record. During the 12-game stretch, Whiteman hit .444 with 20 hits, 19 RBIs, four doubles, two home runs and one triple. He sports a team-best .711 slugging percentage and .561 on-base percentage.

This marks the second time in Whiteman's illustrious career he has been honored as OAC Hitter of the Week.
