Dr. Olga Perez-Flora
Dr. Olga Perez-Flora is about to begin her third year teaching at Muskingum University. Perez-Flora, who earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University and her Master’s degree from Arizona State University, came to Ohio when she studied for her doctorate at Ohio State University.
Perez-Flora teaches one-on-one student voice lessons, vocal methods, and elementary methods. She also directs the Women’s Choir and the Musical Theater Ensemble.
Perez-Flora says, “Muskingum is unique in its small yet fierce student body! They bring a strength to each department that unites and links several departments together.”
Perez-Flora recently sang Suzuki in Opera Columbus’ Madame Butterfly. Over the summer, she performed in both Los Angeles (as the mezzo solos in Verdi’s Requiem) and Mississippi (where she performed the mezzo solos in Mozart’s Requiem). This fall, she’ll be performing La Traviata with her husband, Professor James Flora, at Opera Company Middlebury in Vermont.
