Chase Mallory, '05

Chase Mallory, '05Chase Mallory graduated from Muskingum in 2005 with a degree in Business and Economics. He chose to attend Muskingum because “the overall environment just felt right to me.” He also wanted to play golf competitively.

Mallory attended law school in Florida, then passed the bar exam and returned to Ohio, where he has practiced law since. His practice is focused on criminal defense and he litigates a substantial number of jury trials.

Mallory says, “My group of friends at Muskingum were extremely competitive - sports, class, […] you name it.  I think that carried over with me to law school (which is extremely competitive but at a more dorky level) and more importantly, now in my career.  I love winning jury trials and I hate losing (I rarely do, however). I think my time at Muskingum helped shape me in this way.”

Mallory also adds that the small, interactive classes at Muskingum, and particularly within the Economics, Accounting and Business Department, prepared him well for law school, where students are expected to be prepared and comfortable answering questions in class.
