Faculty Lounge

Welcome to the Faculty Lounge! The Faculty Lounge is a virtual space for you where various materials and courses are provided for technology integration. During the semester, this space will be updated frequently and will have new contents added. So check this site regularly to find new information.

The Faculty Lounge is composed of the following rooms:

  • Café. This room contains links to chat rooms and forums. The chat allows synchronous communication on the Internet. That means participants of a chat should be online at the same time. However, the forum allows asynchronous communication. So the participants do not have to be online at the same time. This room also has links to some mailing lists.
  • Study. It contains five bookshelves:
      • Bookshelf 1 displays links to educational technology theories and research articles;
    • Bookshelf 2 displays links to projects and innovative designs;
    • bookshelf 3 displays links to information about educational organizations and conferences
    • Bookshelf 4 displays links to educational journals, newsletters, and other publications;
    • Bookshelf 5 displays reference tools such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and glossaries sites.
  • Workshop. This room provides Web-based workshops that teach you how to use various software programs.
  • GameZone. This room has links to educational games and simulations. This is a place where visitors learn in a much more casual style and do some brainstorming.
